About

History

The Seven Hills Sinfonietta was founded in 1974 as the Strings Plus Chamber Music Society. Composed of dedicated skilled musicians living in the greater Cincinnati area, the Seven Hills Sinfonietta is the area’s only community chamber orchestra. Throughout its history it has given concerts of classical music in a wide variety of venues, including Cincinnati area auditoriums, schools, houses of worship, and retirement centers, and it has performed with a number of talented young Cincinnati area musicians who have gone on to successful musical careers. Our repertoire includes baroque, classical, romantic, and 20th Century compositions.

Mission

Our mission is to provide skilled community musicians an opportunity to play and perform classical music in a musically stimulating and challenging environment, to provide talented young area musicians the opportunity to perform with an accomplished orchestra and professional conductor, and to provide members of the community who might not otherwise have the chance an opportunity to hear live performances of classical music.
