Fall 2019 Concert

We are pleased to welcome two Cincinnati Conservatory of Music students, Ms. Cho and Ms. Dunlap, as soloists for the Mozert Concerto.
Youbeen Cho, flute
Youbeen Cho (January 10, 1995) is a flutist from South Korea. She is an undergraduate student at the College-Conservatory of music in University of Cincinnati. She was trained as a musician in Yewon Arts School and Seoul Arts High School back in South Korea. Cho won many competitions such as Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra Competition (Grand Prize) 2008, Eumyoun music coucours 2015, Seoul Arts College competition 2015, Sejong University competition 2013, YeEum Music concours 2013 and got 6th place at AFF (asia flutist federation) competition in 2010. She was a fellow musician of Korea Chamber Orchestra summer camp in 2018. She studied with Esther Lee in South Korea and is currently studying with Demarre McGill.
Anna Dunlap, harp
Winner of the 2016 American Harp Society’s Grandjany Memorial Competition, Anna Dunlap was a recipient of the Performer's Certificate at the Eastman School of Music and was featured on Rochester, NY's classical music station WXXI's Backstage Pass in February 2018. This past summer, she attended the Mostly Modern Festival held in Saratoga Springs, NY where she worked with the American Modern Orchestra directed by Ruth Reinhart and Ward Stare and was selected for the Chamber Hits performance. She also attended Orford Musique (Canada) where she studied with Caroline Lizotte and participated in the Contemporary Music Institute, premiering a work by Matthew-John Knights for harp, saxophone, and percussion. Anna is a Next:Gen fellow through Concert:Nova in Cincinnati where she will be receiving coachings from Martin Garcia of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
Currently studying at the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music with Dr. Gillian Benet Sella, Anna graduated from the Eastman School of Music in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Harp Performance with highest distinction. Anna made her solo debut at the Eastman Theater performing Kevin Kaska’s Concerto for Harp. Other ensembles she has performed with include the Bay Atlantic Symphony, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Dave Rivello Ensemble, CCM Chamber Orchestra, Eastman Wind Ensemble, Musica Nova, OSSIA New Music Ensemble, and the Empire Film and Music Ensemble. She is also on the substitute list of the New World Symphony Orchestra and has previously attended the Aspen Music Festival and School.
